Andrew Ollett works on literature and philosophy in premodern India (mostly in Sanskrit, Prakrit and Kannada in the first millennium CE). He is currently working on two projects, one on the beginnings of manuscript literacy in India, and another on contextual theories of meaning in Indian philosophies of language.
