Member Achievement: Sunit Singh

COSAS member Sunit Singh has officially been promoted to Associate Instructional Professor. He is an affiliate faculty in the Department of History and Co-Director of the SOSC Core Writing Initiative.

Professor Singh acquired his BA, MA and PhD from the University of Chicago in South Asian Studies, SALC & Religion, and Sociology of Religion, respectively. His research interests include the rise and fall of the British Empire in India, international socialism in the 20th Century, and Philosophy of History.

In addition to his ongoing research, Professor Singh’s most recent project is a COSAS special project workshop entitled “From Mughal Rule to the Raj: The Imperial Transition in South Asia Workshop,” which will take place May 6-7, 2023.
