Anand Grover, one of India’s leading human rights litigators, will reflect on the right to health for sex workers and the LGBTQ+ community in India and Uganda. For over four decades, Grover has argued and won major cases in the Indian Supreme Court and High Courts, advancing LGBTQ rights, access to life-saving medicines, and the rights of people living with HIV, sex workers, drug users, women, and children. Trained as a biochemist, Grover is a pioneer in using science to advance health rights in India and worldwide. He was also the former United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Health from 2008 to 2014.
