This study explores how sibling dynamics, particularly among same-sex siblings within a 2 – 5 year age gap, shape job preferences and wage expectations. Using a sample of 600 respondents from low and middle income families in India, we examine the mechanisms through which siblings serve as role models, anchor expectations, and influence decision-making regarding career and financial choices. Initial findings suggest that siblings could play a crucial role in shaping career outcomes, and this presentation seeks feedback to refine the survey design and scale the intervention further.
