Kavi Bhalla’s research aims to improve the measurement and evaluation of road safety interventions with a central focus on road safety in low- and middle-income countries, including India. More broadly, he is interested in the measurement of health, especially unintentional injuries, and in the design of transport systems that are safe, sustainable and equitable. He is formally trained as a mechanical engineer.
